Welcome to Hammered and Chained Jewelry, a family business dedicated to making artisan jewelry from the age-old techniques of chainmaille and metalsmithing.
Our jewelry business started with a love story... way back in the 90's. High school, flannels, Pearl Jam; Joe & Cyndi fell in love at first sight in high school drama class. Ups and downs, together and apart, we came back together for good and married in 2001.
Fast forward to now-- struggling to stay sane with four boys, homeschooling, and establishing our own business creating jewelry that brings beauty and joy to peoples lives.
Cyndi creates jewelry mainly using metalsmithing techniques; Joe creates jewelry made by using chainmailling techniques. Thus, Hammered and Chained! We use natural stones in our work & are striving to save enough money to purchase a faceting machine in order to facet the gems & stones that our family finds & mines; it is our ultimate goal to only feature stones that we have mined & cut ourselves.
We feel that jewelry has a job to do: earrings that dangle just right can inspire you to dance when no one is looking, an eye-catching necklace or choker can give you the confidence to look people in the eyes, and a bracelet that catches the eye can give you a feeling of grace or strength even when you're at your wits end.
