Julie Swinton Fisher is an artist who has been painting for most of her adult life. Though born in Michigan, she relocated to Arizona in 1996. Julie gets her inspiration from life's experiences and places she travels. She finds beauty in the way the light hits the waves on water, the shadows on trees and flowers, and just about everything she looks at. Weather she is out for a walk, fishing or driving down the street, if a scene captures her attention, the camera comes out, a picture is taken, and within days a painting is started. Julie enjoys painting sunsets, flowers, wild life, mountains and animals. Her style is realism and she tends to paint layer, after layer until the painting reaches the desired look. She also uses a lot of dry brushing and glazing. Julie continues to evolve as an artist, and the more she studies other artists, the better she becomes. Julie donates paintings to local organizations such as 4H, Arizona Bass Federation and the Chryliss School for Autism. Julie sells her work through her website and local venues, both galleries and art walks. She also does commissions, whether it is a favorite vacation spot, a four legged family member or the entire family.
