Gathering Time is a new acoustic vocal trio with strong hints of Peter, Paul & Mary and CSNY, consisting of members Glen Roethel, Stuart Markus and Hillary Foxsong -- three emerging talents on the acoustic music scene. Originally appreciated for their faithful renditions of folk-rock favorites by the likes of CSNY, Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor and Peter, Paul and Mary, the group is quickly turning the tide with their fresh, original music and lush harmonized renditions of great tunes by other local writers. Songs from their brand new debut release together, Songs of Hope and Freedom already enjoy radio airplay on WFUV, NY (City Folk Sunday Breakfast, and others), WFDU, NJ (Traditions), WAMC/Northeast Public Radio, WCBS, NY (Broadway Bill), and many more. The trio recently shared the stage with Aztec Two-Step, Christine Lavin and Joe Jencks, sang in the Folk DJ Showcase at NERFA 2008, motivated thousands of walk-a-thon participants in Central Park, helped raise funds for not just a private elementary school but a high school, Splashes of Hope, and a railroad museum as well. This past December Gathering Time set a new attendance record for the tri-state area when they performed live for Woodsongs at the Movies in the Clearview Cinemas, Bronxville.
