My name is Cathy J. Sizer and I am a self-taught jewelry artist. My designs are all original; conceived and crafted by me.
Previously, I worked in the nursing profession as a Pediatric Nurse and Practitioner. Now, I enjoy utilizing my artistic skills in handcrafting jewelry. I have taken 2 or 3 courses and otherwise I make it my own. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how something works or how it is made.
I am especially fond of finding unusual components that don't seem to belong together and yet, they come together quite nicely.
I was very well-received at the 2011 Springtime Made in the South Art and Craft Show here in Savannah. I realized that my work is much more appreciated when it can be held and handled and tried on then viewed and purchased online. I do, however, have a continually changing shop on Etsy as I add new items every other day at the least. I also take my own photographs for each listing and take pride in making my designs look as good as they are.
I welcome the challenges of custom work, too.
