I'm new to the Huntsville area but we are glad to be back in the south. I lived in Tucson before this move and I learned a lot from some of the best crafters in the area. I work mostly in wire now but I still do some beading especially with Swarovskis. I also do custom work for weddings, proms, or re-enactment events. If you see a piece of jewelry you like, send me a picture and I'll see if I can make something similar for you. Some of my jewelry has been made with pieces of jewelry that were either broken or discarded. I love to do marriages between the old jewelry adding a modern twist.
I also sew and make mostly Renaissance costumes. I'm considering going into making wedding dresses but have not made that jump yet.
I work with yarn as well. Items I make include: scarves, baby blankets, hot pads.
I was also in the semi-finals with RAW in Tucson, AZ with my jewelry. My jewelry was juried and accepted by the Second Saturday Downtown events. Other places I've sold are Oro Valley, AZ Steampump and at the Gaslight Theater. I've also taught jewelry classes from my home. I do sell online through my website, Etsy, and CustomMade.
I'm kind of all over the board with my crafts since I love trying new things. You never know what I might bring to a show/festival/fair.
