Created these wood art pieces in of May 2013, for an item I needed for my home. A mandolin style holder for a place to put my mail/Bills. A friend saw it and wanted one done of his dog "Honey". Since then they have become all types of animals....all usable!
Material are 1/4"plywood & 1" cedar. Layers of the 1/4" material give each piece a 3-D effect. They come from the wall from 1" up to 5 " casting shadows. Each are airbrushed with laytex paint, and I use color pencils for details.They are then finished with polyurethane. Hangers are fastened to the back, and pads protect the item and wall it will hang on.
Each takes from 2 to 5 weeks to make depending on # of pieces, to size. All fall within the 30 x 30 inch size and can weigh from 5 to 25 lbs.
