These gingko leaves have been hand fabricated, which means that I saw the shape from a sheet of brass with a jeweler's saw, smooth the edges and texture the surface with a file, use hammering techniques to adjust the shape and form the bail, oxidize and tumble the finished pieces, then attach them to gold filled lever back ear wires.

The gingko is often a symbol of endurance and strength, because of the four gingko trees near Hiroshima, Japan that were the only living things in their location to survive the atomic blast in 1945. I am told that they survive to this day.

Recently I passed a ginkgo tree and was amazed by the variations of the leaf shapes on a single tree. These earrings (and similar pendants listed elsewhere on my site) are the result of the inspiration from that tree.

The gingko leaves each measure 1” (25mm) by ½” (12mm), and the overall earring size is 1” (25mm) by 1 5/8” (40mm).

These earrings can be converted to screw-type fasteners for women with unpierced ears

Shipping & Order Processing:  Free Shipping!  Most orders ship within the United States via USPS First Class Mail within two days and arrive at the customer's address within a week.  International shipping usually takes 12 to 14 days.  If processing time will be longer, I will let the customer know by email prior to shipping the item. 

 


Refunds and Exchanges:  If a customer is not satisfied with the product when it arrives, it can be returned, provided it is not a special ordered customized item, and the item amount refunded via PayPal.  Sales of customized, special ordered items are final.
