The 4th Annual Baton Rouge Civil War Symposium, and the 30th Annual Civil War Re‑enactment, are independent events. The symposium has a reception, topics relating to the longest siege in US military history, Port Hudson and a private battlefield tour. The Re‑enactment has battles, sutlers, interactive displays, hundreds of re‑enactors, a museum, campsites, firepower demo, dancers, duels, refreshments, and vendors. If you like history join us to help keep it alive. It's a lot of fun and educational. A portion of the proceeds benefit the "Friends Of Port Hudson".
