A Tribute to Astrud Gilberto With the Anne Walsh Quinte

In this concert, classically and jazz trained vocalist, Anne Walsh, pays tribute to the work of iconic Brazilian singer Astrud Gilberto, who became popular internationally in the 1960s, after her rendition of “The Girl from Ipanema”, and who played an essential role in the dissemination bossa nova worldwide.Singing in Portuguese and English, Anne will interpret songs from her newest album, The Astrud Project, as well as other Brazilian and American songs from her previous albums.Anne Walsh will be accompanied by an amazing lineup of musicians: Tom Zink (piano), Mitchell Long (guitar), Kevin Axt (bass), and Lucio Vieira (drums).
