I began sewing when I was about 12 years old and discovered that I was good at it and I enjoyed it very much. I started making Barbie doll clothes and selling them to my neighbors and had so much fun that I wanted to dress all of the dolls in the neighborhood. I remember making clothes for an antique Shirley Temple doll that my across-the-street neighbor owned. This Shirley had real human hair! Imagine!
I have decided in my retirement to return to my two loves (not counting my husband, he is my first Love) dolls and sewing. I am experimenting with sock dolls, messed up a few, but learning. I hope to have some for you to see soon. Also, I am working on a complete wardrobe for American Girl type dolls and all of my dolls from my childhood including Dolliken Miss Marvelous, Betsy McCall (8 inch and 14 inch) Suzie Walker, Littlest Angel in two sizes and Vogue Ginny doll to name a few. So, check back soon and often.
