Blind Ruby is more than just your typical Folk/Pop band with a ; "Quirky Female Lead Singer/4 string Tenor Guitar player" (Darcey Stubblefield) and a Cello playing, backup vocalist / former Beauty Queen (Julia Wood)... They are also;
"quite possibly the nicest people you will ever meet."
(Although, it is well known that their drummer, James Stubblefield, is not very nice when "hungry",
and would most likely eat his own foot to survive, and Bass player Don Erikson, is rumored to be adirect descendant of an ancient notoriously vicious Viking Clan.)
Nevertheless , both are very nice.
Blind Ruby although a Southern California Band, have a steadily growing Fan Base,
particularly in Canada and Romania, (Who knew?)
They have just released their critically acclaimed 2nd CD, and yet continue to be nice.
Blind Ruby has several original songs featured in the Montana Amazon Film, "The Misadventures of the Dunderheads", Starring: Alison Brie, Haley Joel Osment, and Olympia Dukakis. They have just returned to Southern CA. from a triumphant live appearance in San Francisco, and are currently in Studio creating some very nice Songs for a third album.
