Brother (a.k.a. David Bingaman) and The Hayes (a.k.a. Jennie Hayes Kurtz) are a sibling duo originally from Dallas, TX, now based in Nashville and Chattanooga.
David Bingaman's guitar playing is heavily influenced by Texas blues masters like Lightnin' Hopkins and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Jennie Hayes's voice has been described as a cross between Dusty Springfield and Bonnie Raiit. The collaborate results in a wonderful mix of blood harmony, poignant lyrics, and organic melodies that get stuck in your head.

Brother and The Hayes toured all over the country in 2019 playing venues like Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, Third and Lindsley and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, The Granada in Dallas, and many more venues in cities like Houston, Austin, Denver, Chicago, Washington D.C. etc.

The band performs as an acoustic duo featuring flat picking bluegrass guitar and clawhammer banjo as well as an electric four-piece band, usually featuring bass, drums, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar.
