Carpinteria Valley Historical Society and Museum of History has worked to preserve the heritage of this very special and unique seaside community just south of Santa Barbara, California for over 50 years.  Our charming museum is located on a tree-lined street in this quaint beach town.  With beautiful mountain views and Victorian homes, the setting is ideal--just 4 blocks from the beach and right downtown.  The Holiday Faire is a long-runnning annual fundraiser for the museum that is well-organized and well-attended.  Arts & crafts are the focus, not an afterthought.  Timed for the big Thanksgiving weekend kick-off to holiday shopping, it is a hit with artisans and shoppers alike.

Additionally, the museum hosts the last-Saturday-of-the-Month Museum marketplace.  With 70+ vendors it is a mini-Rose Bowl of antiques and vintage items, as well as some hand-crafted arts & crafts.  Reservations are a must at this sell-out event!
