I was at the kitchen sink the other day, doing dishes, looking outside to our backyard, dreaming it was summer, when I saw a ROBIN! I called my husband into the kitchen, for a witness to the fact mostly, and he agreed! It was a robin! Since that first sighting, we've seen him a couple of times out in the backyard. It just has to be a sign of an early spring! If the robins didn't even go south for the winter, they must have felt that it was going to be a very short winter and not worth their time to fly clear down there! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
It's cold and windy here in central Iowa this morning as I write this blog. But it's winter in Iowa - what do I expect it to be!? It will be a great day to sit at the sewing machine and create something to put on this site. Of course, I could do some housework or laundry or take the tree down, but I've decided that I'm going to ease into 2015, take my time, enjoy the day and SEW! Have a good day and a great year!
