Fancy Pots were an inspiration that occurred to me while I was working as an accountant for a country club. I noticed the high price of cut floral arrangements and remembered an old craft that my mother taught me of saturating cloth in a mixture of glues and then draping it over a pot. When the cloth dried, it formed around the shape of the container. I thought, what if we used live plants instead of floral arrangements on our tables? It would save a fortune.  I hope to sell them to event coordinators in the future, as I believe they will revolutionize that industry.

That started a twenty year journey with Fancy Pots, developing and improving on the idea, thinking of new uses for them, and finally starting to sell them.

Unfortunately, I had a serious slip and fall accident while showing them at a craft show. But this didn't stop me from making them. I just needed time to find helpers who could assist me at the shows. That is the reason I have so little actual craft show experience.

The pots speak for themselves. They are almost indestructible and can be made of most fabrics, in any design desired. There is no need to replant, just put the existing green pot that comes from the nursery inside the Fancy Pot. Fancy Pots are completely water proofed, so you can water the plant while it is in the pot. The water drains through the nursery pot into the bottom of the Fancy Pot, acting as a self watering container and a table protector too.

Another industry that will benefit African Violet growers. I have designed a method that will do away with the limited size of ceramic self watering pots. My pots can be made in almost size, from 3 inches to planter size 16 inches, and act as an outer skin for the Violets. All you need is a clay inner pot that is porous enough to allow water in.

Other ideas include gift baskets, hanging floral baskets, candle holders, containers for Silk and Live Floral Arrangements. They can sit outside on the deck, and even if they become very wet, they will re-stiffen when placed in front of a fan or air conditioner.

This is about the most revolutionary floral idea in decades. I want you see them for yourselves to understand the implications of my invention.
