Freeways, Motels, Chicken Farts and Flies Words and music by Dale Cavanaugh (*This song is about an actual RV park in Florida)
I shoveled out my driveway, climbed into my old RV. Pulling out of winter land, headed for Cedar Key. All was going fine but I had to turn in for the night. I had nothing to go on 'cept for one old headlight.
(So I pulled into the RV park and the welcome sign said pick any spot you want!)
It was getting dark as I pulled into a site Then I heard a rustling and something wasn't right. And ya know that wasn't a river that was roaring over there, And those aren't stars but neon lights causing me to stare.
Cars are screaming by my RV site is under a bridge And there's a stinkin' chicken farm right there on the ridge. I can't wait to leave here, there's neon in my eyes, Freeways, Motels, Chicken Farts and Flies
I didn't get much sleep that night, my eyes were bloodshot red, In my home away from home There's class A's overhead My RV is a chicken coop, there's neon in my eyes, And every time I walk outside the flies are hitching a ride
Cars are screaming by my RV site is under a bridge And there's a stinkin' chicken farm right there on the ridge. I can't wait to leave here, there's neon in my eyes, Freeways, Motels, Chicken Farts and.....>
Cars are screaming by my RV site is under a bridge And there's a stinkin' chicken farm right there on the ridge. Now I'm on my way out of here and sayin' my goodbye's to Freeways, Motels, Chicken Farts and Flies
