I make generally unusual, but very functional wheel thrown and hand built pottery. The shapes are not quite the same as most other potters make. I make my bowls and platters a bit heavier and more robust, to stand up to day to day usage. I also do not Make the Same Thing with the same glazes, I have to do thins to keep it fresh for me, as I am an Asperger, and I have to do things differently to keep myself interested. I don't know why I told you that, but I did.
I started studying Ceramics at Purdue University in 1977, I took 4 semesters in the first two years, I then had to drop out because life got in the way of art. I never forgot this love, and then I got to go back again in 2000, and ran out of money before I could complete my degree. But I got a lot of art while there.
