County Dance Conservatory was founded in September 2002 in Deale, Maryland by J. Davis Hobdy. County Dance Conservatory provides a quality, professional dance instruction for all ages. Specializing in jazz, modern, and tap, the school also provides a strong foundation in ballet technique. Our performing companies have received numerous awards at New Prague Dance Festival in Prague, Czech Republic and received four awards at the European Festival of Dance and PerformingArts 2010 in Paris, France. Locally, our companies have performed at National Cherry Blossom Festival, Deale Beach Day, Marlborough Day, South County Relay for Life, Chesapeake Pride Festival, Marlborough Day, and at the Anne Arundel County Fair. PIECES has toured to Amsterdam, Netherlands and performed nationally through the south. Davis Hobdy Dance is a new performance outlet serving as an extension of County Dance Conservatory and PIECES. Its mission is to encourage and facilitate artistry, creativity, and collaboration in dance and the arts.
