Janan Terpstra enjoyed being a bridesmaid again....and again....and again. She faithfully served God as a co-leader of an active singles' ministry at a large church in San Diego. She earned her Master's degree in Theology and moved to Chicago as a missionary in an inner city, bi-cultural church. Terpstra later moved to Wisconsin and worked as a legal secretary. She perfomed in and directed dozens of community theater productions and has also been on screen in several independent films. During her years in ministry, as her 20s turned into 30s and then 40s, she grappled with the hard question of why her prayers about finding a husband were going unanswered. She married Bob when she was 46. He spends his days in a wheelchair yet is the most joyful person she ever met. They have 10 grandchildren and live in Hudson, WI.
