Several years ago, I fell in love with a bead woven bracelet that a colleague was wearing; in the search to find similar bracelets online, I "met" many talented jewelry artists and they inspired me to learn to make jewelry myself. I took a couple of classes, bought some books, started making beaded jewelry and the rest is history! I make handmade beaded, leather and fabric jewelry designs for everyone. I particularly like to showcase beads from other parts of the world, many of which have quite a story to tell. A few years after I started making jewelry, a family friend who was 90 years old, showed me how he made pressed flower cards and he encouraged me to find my style and make them myself; I was hooked! Although I have always enjoyed creative endeavors starting at a very young age, my career path took me in a different direction, to that of a busy medical professional. Not only does creating these items gives me great pleasure, it is also a necessity!
