Handcrafted Hearts, aka Thrifty-Quilts, is a home based business which began as a way to fill time and use creative opportunities in response to health challenges which prevented working outside the home.
My passion is to create unique and custom quilts and soy candles through active recycling, reuse, and repurposing items.
Each quilt I make is truly unique in fabric, design, and size. Most quilts vary in size from infant, toddler, crib, stroller, wheelchair or lap quilts. Larger quilts available through custom orders.
My candles begin with a search for specialty glass at garage sales and thrift stores. I use high grade soy wax and cosmetic grade essential or fragrance oils and various decorating formats to create simple pieces to adorn your home.
This is more than a business, this is daily proof how creative arts can heal us in mind, body and spirit. The way we accomplish our creative arts will heal the environment in which we coexist.
