I am a Wisconsin based, self-taught printmaker specializing in relief prints. The linoleum block print is my preferred medium, and I add color to them by hand painting.
I started selling mywork in 1989 and have participated in over 650 events throughout the United States since then. Even though I do both on-line and gallery sales, talking directly to an interested patron seems to bring almost any image to life in a way that gallery or on-line sales can't. And listening to the patrons thoughts of the work enhanses my understanding of the impact of art in society.
Years ago I realized that my images have a life far beyond the sale of the last print in the edition. I now add to my sales by making very popular greeting cards, book plates, and Christmas tree ornaments using my block print (and occacionally watercolor) images. For these products I use a local printer.
