Started sewing Barbie clothes when I was nearly 6 yrs. old and just continued to add new crafting experiences. Crocheting, rug hooking, spool knitting, lap weaving, rag rug braiding, macrame. As I grew older and married I tried other medium venues such as ceramics, painting, photography, floral arranging, wreath making, wood carving and scroll sawing. After years of designing and creating someone suggested I should sell my works as I was making as gifts for family and friends but though I was experienced in a variety of fields, I had not discovered my niche yet. My greatest supporter was always my father. He was a firm believer in recycling before recycling became popular and because of that I've been called the "trash lady" among other colorful words but it never stopped people from buying or appreciating my work. My father passed on in 1985 and I decided to start my own home-based business as I wished to remain home with my children. We (my children have been involved at different stages of their lives) have been recycling for over 3 decades and we also have a second venue for all our other loves. I am now an Empty-nest Grandma and who knows---perhaps they will help someday, too...until then I will enjoy designing and creating new products on my own.
