The Pearson Lakes Art Center, is located at 2201 Highway 71 - Okoboji, IA 51355. We have a fabulous facility that houses six galleries, a performing arts theatre, a children's interactive gallery, two art classrooms, a pottery room, art library, event hall, and a gift shop. We have held an annual "Art in the Park" festival in some form, since 1965. It is now held at Arnolds Park Amusement Park in Arnolds Park, IA on the first Saturday of every August. The PLAC's Art in the Park is a fine arts show with many categories including: metal sculpture, fiber art, pottery, jewelry, batik, folk art, and more. Participation is open to all artists who exhibit work of original concept, design, and execution. Only handcrafted work by the selling artist is acceptable. No commercial or mass produced products, molds, kits, or pattern items will be permitted.
