The Lancaster Fiber Festival is a three day retail & educational event that will take place in the Lancaster Convention Center and Marriott Hotel in Lancaster, PA from August 16th through August 18th, 2018. What makes this event unique is that it will bring together a wide range of mediums including: paper crafts, Zentangle, calligraphy, quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, felting, spinning and weaving, hand embroidery and other fiber crafts all at one location. As a visitor, you will be able to learn techniques and tips as well as get a chance to try something new through in-booth demonstrations, stage demonstrations and available classes.
There is over 13,000 square feet of vendor space with the expectation of having a minimum of 75 vendors from around the country. Crafters will find a variety of unique and interesting supplies, books and patterns to enrich their craft.The Festival Event Stage will host a total of 38 free (with admission) 15 to 20 minute demonstrations. Demonstrations are scheduled on the hour and half hour during this three day event. Demonstrations will give you a chance to learn from our nationally recognized teachers, vendors, manufacturers and local guilds. You will be able to see how to: spin, dye yarn with Kool Aid, make a silk cord bracelet and many other fun and informative topics.
Classes will be offered on a range of topics from both nationally and regionally known teachers. They will be offered in 2-, 3- and 5- hour time slots. Registration should begin 1/15/18. Class fees will be $65.00, $85.00 and $125.00 per session. Classes may require a kit fee that will be paid directly to the teacher.
