Larry Lee, Spokane, WA
Larry creates images that mix a very real reality with an evocative imagination. His goal is to move beyond “pixel perfect” photographs and into captivating images that impact both the head and heart.
For over thirty years he has honed his skills and style. Over that time, he periodically presented his works at various venues, photographed weddings and created promotional materials. For ten years he was the primary photographer for the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk. At retirement, Larry began to concentrate on his post production skills. His work now blends strong compositions with textures, layers and painterly qualities.
His work mainly consists of calming, contemplative and quiet subjects. Occasionally, Larry finds images that require big, bold and bright attributes in order to tell their story. While not formally trained, Doug Landreth, Denise Worden, Daniel Giordan and Theresa Airey have had more impact upon his work than they will ever know.
