about - Harmony Center For Spiritual Living, Whittier, CA
I am the chairperson for the annual Harmony Center Fine Art and Craft Fair and High School Art Contest in Whittier, California. We have an indoor/outdoor event with approx. 60 spaces inside and 15 spaces outside. Our fair takes place for two days on the third weekend in October.
This show is exclusively to feature artists and artisan crafters who create their own work including original art, photography, painting, crocheted items, stuffed creatures, jewelry, wood crafts, glass, spiritual items, baby items, tole painting, quilts, and many other arts and crafts. All new vendors are juried to maintain high quality overall. No manufactured items, imports, or resale products are allowed at this show.
The fair is a fundraiser for Harmony Center and profits are shared annually with a local charity partner. Funds come from booth fees, raffles, sponsors, and donations. We do not collect any part of artist sales. The event is free and open to the public. Annual attendance over the two day fair is approximately 1,500 shoppers with money to spend.
In addition to the wonderful art and craft items for sale, the fair also has live music outdoors, lunch food trucks, a High School Art Contest, raffle prizes, face painters, caricature artist, and other activities.
