about - Michele Renee Sherlock Fine Art
April - 2019
Los Angeles based abstract artist, Michele Sherlock, was born and raised in Ohio. She has since lived in the 3 of the largest cities in the U.S., New York City, Chicago, and now Los Angeles. Her artistic influences began when she married her husband Greg, who is an architect, designer, painter, and furniture builder. Michele and Greg's love of travel has brought them to Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and almost every state in the U.S. During these travels, Michele would plan visits to the local art museums and significant architectural sites. When Michele retired from Nursing, she was inspired to develop a career as a visual artist. Michele is a self taught abstract artist, working with acrylics. Her major artistic influences are Wassily Kandinsky, Gerhard Richter, and Kenneth Noland. Michele's artistic mentors include international award winning abstract artists, Clara Berta, and Daniel Diaz-Tai, both based in Los Angeles. Michele is currently taking part in a group art exhibition with LA based, Beyond the Lines Gallery. She currently works in her studio in downtown Los Angeles.
