I've been making art of one kind or another for as long as I can remember. I've been fascinated with gemstones and rocks since I was a child. I went to art school and got my BFA and then my MFA with a focus in large scale clay sculpture. I think it was in reaction to making sculptures on a really big scale-many hundreds of pounds-that my artistic pendulum swung to working smaller. I love focusing in on the tiny delicate details of jewelry making. My work is minimal but expressive. I make earrings and necklaces using natural gemstones.
