At the age of 21 years old there is nothing Adler Roseau loves more than music. From recording it, performing, or creating it he holds no limits. Adler goes by many names but two of the most common are A.R and B2BG. The first name obviously the initial of his real name and the second name signifies the initials of Born to be Great which is why it is so appealing to the audience. Adler was born of Haitian decent in Brooklyn, New York on October 25, 1990 but raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His love affair with music began at the age of 8 years old where he sang in a church choir at the Incarnation of our lord with choir director Bebita Metellus. He sung there for 5 years until he reached the age of 14 years old, he learned the basics of singing, the ability to play the drums, and even to sing in different languages such as Creole, French, and Spanish. But as Adler started high school he grew into other interests and lagged away for a while. However he always kept it in his heart, and was always up to date on the latest on music. As the high school years continued Adler found a new talent he was exceptional at, it was poetry. He began entering contest and winning them and grew confidence in it so much he felt he could become a songwriter. With the new found confidence he approached one of his best friends and told him about his new revelation, but the friend brought a new perspective into it and said why don't we form a group and sing? Adler agreed instantly, at the age of 18 he was back with his first love Music. The group did YouTube videos, did cover songs from all generations but sadly lasted only a few months but Adler didn't give up; he took his music education to a higher level by attending Temple University Ester Boyer Music School where he was a music minor soon to be a music Major. For his first two years he was taught Music theory, Music Composition, Piano, given Voice lessons classically and tought the Opera style by Aaron Spencer, Melissa Mino, and sung at a few school events. Though all was going well at Temple University, he felt his music adventure would go better alone. By the middle of 2010 he began singing and rapping many songs, from freestyles to soulful R&B. If Adler were to be categorized by genre, he would be Alternative rap, with styles and similarities to the new school comers like Drake, Wale, Wiz Khalifa, J-Cole, and Kid Cudi. Rappers who have influenced him go back to the late great B.I.G, Jay-Z, Nas, Common, Black Thought and Most Def. From their word play and positive message this is where he takes after. Adler uses poetry through words to evoke a deeper meaning of what he is saying to capture the listeners. As for singing the genre he would be placed is quite wide and ranges because of his voice and message he sings for. It can go from Jazz, to soul, R&B, and to Contemporary R&B. His voice has a very low register from bass & baritone that can rise to tenor easily. Along with that comes a great power with a unique heavy darkness to flatter it. He would love to mimic the works of Luther Van dross, Whitney Houston, and Celin Dion. Even new century artists like Jennifer Hudson, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, and Alicia Keys. They all sing about the ups and down of love and life and portray it in ways he admires and respects. In entering the music industry Adler plans to continue to progress in many of his talents, because like any artist knows there is always room to get better. Especially since he would like to be marketed and known for one of the best young creative minds of this and future generations to come. His determination and goals are clear cut and straight to the point; to make an impact on music and continue to elevate it to higher levels. Adler Roseau sees music as an art and a blank canvas of creativity. He is an artist, as the years pass just watch him work. -They say the most creative minds are the ones who are most misunderstood. I say they're wrong, the other creative minds understand it completely. - Adler Roseau
