atalie Jordyn has always known the art world would play a large part in her life. Jordyn received her BS in Visual Arts with a concentration in painting and drawing from SUNY New Paltz in 2006. Over the years, Jordyn has created various bodies of work, encompassing both 3D and 2D mediums. Jordyn enjoys experimenting with materials and diversifying her process, though one component tends to continuously run through her bodies of work, which is her passion for abstract art. Her most recent body of work is a collection of abstract acrylic paintings inspired by her love for nature. Recently, Jordyn has dove headfirst into the world of unconventional painting. Utilizing atypical painting tools to create her new body of work has lent itself to a free-flowing process that renders a truly unique product each time. Jordyn's finished paintings are comprised of an extensive layering process. Pairing unconventional techniques with traditional brushwork, Jordyn brings forth images and shapes that shine through each abstract layer. It is an intimate dance between artist and medium which is ever apparent to the viewer in the finished product.
Natalie Jordyn is a Rochester, NY native and current Rochester resident. Jordyn has also resided and worked in NYC, Los Angeles, and San Diego over the years. Her passion for travel and exploration fuel her need to create and continued growth as an artist.
