The Orange County Children's Book Festival is the nations largest one day literary event for families with more than 100 authors and illustrators, storytellers, entertainers and over 80 education related exhibitors. It attracts 30,000 attendees. Free admission and free parking.

This year the Orange County Children's Book Festival is expanding the STEM section of the Festival in coordination and collaboration with the Grand Opening Celebration of the Orange Coast College New Planetarium.

We are very excited and proud that Astronaut Nicole Slott is confirmed and will be speaking on the Festival's STEM stage. Nicole Stott is an American engineer and a NASA astronaut. She served as a Flight Engineer on ISS Expedition 20 and Expedition 21. Nicole cares deeply about America, our youth, and the importance of STEM education and inspiration.

Pending confirmation, Astronaut Scott Kelly will be another presenter on the STEM stage. A former NASA astronaut best known for spending nearly a year on the International Space Station. Additionally, participating at the Festival, we have STEM specialized authors whose children's book will inspire young readers to reach for the stars.
