This band has placed in several competitions around Tennessee winning awards as well as hearts. They have played at Dollywood, on WIVK, several theatres in Tennessee, Tunes & Tales of Gatlinburg, have been a feature story on Live at Five, and many venues in and around Tennessee.
Outta The Blue prides themselves on their ability to bring an entertainingly skilled bluegrass performance to the young and the young at heart. Their style of music conforms from traditional bluegrass to new-wave bluegrass with a hint of country. Many of the bands influences are Allison Krauss, Rhonda Vincent, Ricky Skaggs, Earl Scruggs, Bill Monroe, and Dolly Parton as well as many others.
With a banjo picker who maintains a clean, polished Earl Scruggs style, a fiddle player who is unsurpassed with her rendition of Orange Blossom Special, a rhythm guitar player who stands out with her entertaining ability, and an upright bass player who keeps timing while adding a deep roar to tie it all together.
