An annual celebration of the PA state insect, the firefly, on the fourth Saturday of June. For 2015 the date is Sat. June 27, noon - midnight. A family-friendly festival where you can learn about fireflies, with exhibitors, vendors, food, music, activities, workshops and guided night walks into the Allegheny National Forest, and along the upper Tionesta Creek. Accommodations and general services are typical for the back country. The festival is based at the Black Caddis Ranch Bed & Breakfast on Route 666, in Kellettville PA, 17 miles to the northeast of Tionesta. For more information see blogspot or like us on facebook.
