Ralph is inspired by nature, by experiences, by life itself and he allows that to flow through his creations. After drafting his vision, Ralph will source whatever vintage pieces can be found, augment with new pieces, assemble a lighting fixture to ensure it is what he had envisioned. The piece is then disassembled, painted, primed, wired and reassembled with any wood pieces attached (after selection, hand sanding and waxing/buffing) and the appropriate vintage bulb is selected. New pieces are being created every day. Framed vintage pieces are a passion of Pipe Dreams. An antique frame is selected, carefully restored and placed with a vintage find to create interesting wall pieces. Vintage paper is cut, hand rolled into rose buds and placed on a large styrofoam ball to create delicate rose balls to hang around the home all year or placed as a centrepiece for special occassions. Hammered metal jewelry is a new venture that is currently being crafted although Pipe Dreams is extremely excited to be adding that to our collection soon.
We feel that our pieces breath life into a home and we thoroughly enjoy speaking to the customers about how each pieces is assembled and why.
Prior to starting Pipe Dreams Ralph managed events teams both creatively and physically. His wife, Kelly assists in creative design and booth set up. Both have a history in creative layout and conceptualization.
