The Fort Museum and Frontier Village and the Frontier Opera House is a private nonprofit museum that has artifacts dating back to pre 1850. We have several annual events that we do at the museum and on the grounds.

One event, Frontier Days is held the first full weekend in June every year. The annual event has been running for over 45 years and is the "Home Town" event with a parade that is the second largest in the state of Iowa. This is a family festival with free activities and games for kids, Live entertainment and music, a Pioneer Marketplace, The Cardiff Giant Artist Garden, and a fantastic Food Court with food and goodies to please everyone! The Hole in the Sock Gang will there to thrill and delight you with Outlaws, Cowboys, Saloon Gals, Gamblers, and other Characters!

Our Halloween Event is a Haunted Museum or a Zombie Hunt.  It is a fun night where the veil is lifted between this world and the next.

The Holiday Event is a Christmas Marketplace with characters from the novels of Charles Dickens, St. Nicholas, The royal family, story tellers, jugglers and magicians.  We even have a "sleigh ride" through the woods.
