I retired a bit ago and am enjoying doing a lot more woodturning and laser cutting and engraving as well as working with a CNC to create things. I also do encaustic and watercolor painting.
I use a wood lathe to make bowls, platters, and hollow forms ranging in size from 40 inch diameter down to 1.5 inch diameter ornaments. Items can be utilitarian, decorative, or artistic.
I also use a laser cutter/engraver to make items out of wood, leather, acrylic, and paper. Â They may also be for utility use, decorative, or artistic. And I use a CNC router to design and create various wood items, some for light production and some as prototypes to make in other media.
This was my 4rth year exhibiting in a variety of craft and art fairs in the Seattle, WA area. As I gain experience I hope to branch out a bit and offer my ideas to a wider audience in more venues.
