Why Verimour?

Hi there, my name is Dawn and I’m the creative founder for the newly released social app Verimour.

As a life coach and a problem solver, my DNA is hardwired to do everything in my power to make the world a better place one person at a time.

Therefore, when I saw the dishonesty, poor communication, and outright criminal goings on of today's dating and social apps, my heart was broken and my stomach sickened for all the people dealing with it.

The original idea started with only the following 5 features:

Third party id verification

An objective review system

Serious and casual profile options (though I originally used the hipper though in my head somewhat more ambiguous terms LTR/NSA)

Audio/Video options in addition to the text versions

And a skype style in app communication feature

I felt those were the bare minimum needed to begin a better, more transparent experience and start changing the “I need a shower because I feel like I fell in a waste treatment plant” feeling many of us have any time we resort to once again using the available options.

Since then the idea has exploded into a runaway train of amazing features all revolving around your success and safety. Better relationships make for happier people. And when that happens, everybody wins.

Why you shouldn’t even consider Facebook for online dating.

Why you shouldn’t even consider Facebook for online dating.

This should probably be the shortest thing I’ve written in my life. It shouldn’t even need to be said.

The fact that Zuckerberg was hauled in front of congress to defend the integrity of his company should be evidence enough that Facebook is not your ally or protector. The following articles make that clear.

Facebook says it disabled 1.3 billion fake accounts in 6 months, but the problem is far from over | Deseret News

Security cannot be an afterthought. Just like a lover, a company that truly cares about your safety and best interest puts it first from the beginning. If your lover cheats on you what do you do? You delete the **** from your life! Screwed up security is not a genie that can be put back in the bottle. And the worst part is they knew long before they were called out on it. They just banked on not getting caught.

If you want things to change you have to do two things. First, hit Facebook where they hurt by deleting your account. Your true friends will find you elsewhere. Second, find a new lover in the form of a company that was built for you, not because they saw a cash cow to exploit.
