Looking into arts and crafts shows to sell woodwork

I am looking into selling some of my woodworking products by attending arts and crafts shows. I have been to a couple but am unsure if this is a good approach, particularly because I have not been able to find much information about how other woodworkers have done and what, if anything, is a trend or commonly sought after product. Any advise or insight, shoot it my way.
