Wendy Martin is a Singer/Songwriter from Northern California currently residing in Northern Indiana. Her style is most accurately described as soulful, Country/Folk with a sometime edgy Country/Rock feel.
When you hear Wendy sing, the artists Linda Ronstadt and Trisha Yearwood come to mind; when she kicks it up and rocks the house, you can hear the Rock n Roll influence of Ann Wilson and Pat Benatar. Wendy's true power comes from the introspective lyrics and haunting melodies she writes. Many audiences have been moved to tears listening to her songs of life, love, and loss.
Wendy has been writing and performing her music for many years. In addition to performing at local venues, she has performed at the California State Fair, County Fairs and regional festivals and has opened shows for many big name artists.
Currently, She is working with record label “Delved In Dreams” with a new single to be released by the end of summer 2018. Her first album project released through “Delved in Dreams”, earned her a spot in the World Radio Indie Alliance weekly top 40!
When Wendy is not writing and recording new music, she is performing solo, duo/trio, or full band shows with her band “Wendy Martin & The B-Side”. She also performs with the local Rock and Americana style original band “The Getdowns”. Her musical arsenal is full of both originals and cover tunes that span the decades from early Jazz classics and country music, to 60's, 70's, and 80's Rock n Roll and beyond!
