Wendy Whipple has loved photography since she used her first Kodak Instamatic 110. In college, she learned to love computers and has embraced all things geek. Wendy is excited to share her passion for photography and computers, producing her “kaleidoscoped” images, the Shattered Photos. But her attention "wandered" and she applied her photos to fabric and created art dolls, quilts, and pendants. Then wandered further still and applied the concepts of taking things apart and reassembling them to make hats from reclaimed materials. She is also the author of Creating an Heirloom: Writing Your Family's Cookbook, currently in its second edition. A native of central Illinois, she graduated from Drake University, and currently resides in the northern ex-burbs with her husband and daughter.
