Newburyport's "Yankee Homecoming" is the oldest homecoming festival in the United States.
In 1958, Newburyport native George Cashman was the 1st General Chairperson and the festival has continued to bring years of celebration to the city. The 9-day festival hosts downtown nightly concerts and street performers, a road race, fireworks show, and ends with a parade down the historic High Street. These events are made possible by many dedicated volunteers! We look forward to seeing you in "the Port".
2024 Yankee Homecoming will be held from July 27-August 4, 2024.
