Joyful Crystals, Reading, MA
I have been a crafter most of my life. As a very young child I made bed dolls which my sister sold at her workplace. That was in the 1950's. Other crafts I enjoyed were painting; sewing most of my clothes in high school; counted cross stitch; handcrafted greeting cards which were sold at a non-profit store in North Andover before it closed 9 years ago. I have been making jewelry for the past 14 years. In April of 2011 I started my business Joyful Crystals. Since then I have vendored at over 3 dozen craft fairs in MA.
I work a lot with Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. My signature piece is a 23rd Psalm bracelet. Each crystal represents a verse in the Psalm by color. Each piece is unique as no two braclets are the same. I may use various shapes and shades for the crystals and between the crystals are sterling silver beads of many sizes and shapes. It truly is a stunning bracelet and one that brings lots of compliments.
Another specialty is the newest rage from Europe, The Regaliz bracelets. These are made with either greek 5mm round leather or flat 5mm and/or 10mm Italien leather. The leather is adorned with slider beads made out of porcelain, enamel and silver, brass and copper nickle free metal sliders and magnetic clasps. Be sure to check them out. They are SO comfortable to wear.
As you will see in my gallery I use a variety of techniques.  This leads to a wide variety of choices from which to make your purchase. Some of my jewelry is of my own design and others are from patterns from popular beading magazines.
Custom jewelry is an important part of my business.  You have a special occassion and need jewelry to compliment your attire. You contact me to discuss and together we decide what you would like. I have done wedding jewelry for the both the bride and her maids and the the mother of the groom, a 50th high school reunion, or just something to add a little bling to a new sweater, blouse, suit or dress.Â
April of 2013 brought a new category called ART. All paintings are small, 5"x5", 6"x6" or 5"x7" to medium, 8"x 8", 10"x 10" and 11"x 14" All are hand drawn and painted in acrylics. Take a look and be surprised.
Please check out my gallery and enjoy.
