Born Diarra Hamilton, aVoicE began his music career in street rap in Brooklyn, NY. His life spiraled out of control when he kept silent over the abortion of his child, and was in and out of drug addictions for several years. He then experienced the tragedy of another aborted child. He met Christ in a jail cell and eventually transformed from a street rapper who struggled with drugs and sexual integrity to a man on a mission to serve God through music focused on God's grace and helping people know His love. On his journey, God led him to Phoenix, where he met his wife, Merissa, and together they created "Gimme That Entertainment (GTE)."
aVoicE is focused on reaching out to those in spiritual need - from getting teens off the streets to helping people overcome the pain of abortion to helping women in unsupported pregnancies. The ultimate goal? Show people they are no different from him, and they can live their dreams too.
aVoicE and his wife, Merissa, also own an online business to boost people's self confidence, inside and out, through beauty, health, and sports nutrition products at www.gtebiz.com.
