A one-of-a-kind Garden Glass Flower made from re-purposed vintage glass that can be placed in your garden during the summer, and in a potted plant on display in your house year round!
This 6-layered Glass Flower is a dark and mysterious combination of black and red. This flower has a lot of depth and character.
Layer 1: Approximately 8" wide, clear glass plate with sculptural interest
Layer 2: Vintage Westmoreland black milk glass, signed 1975
Layer 3: Cut crystal re-purposed ashtray
Layer 4: Stunning shallow bowl shading from red to gold with wavy rim
Layer 5: Small, slightly tinted glass shot glass
Layer 6: Small marble accent for added glimmer
BASIC DETAILS:
The glass is held together with industrial strength glass glue that will not break apart, (HOWEVER, as they are vintage glass, they do need to be handled delicately.). Each comes with a metal rebar pole sprayed with protective green Rust-Oleum of your height choice (12", 24", or 36") that attaches to the back of the flower with a bolt. We suggest you choose a 12" if you plan to use it in a potted plant.
IMPORTANT: These are very delicate due to their material, therefore, when you are planting them please make sure to assemble the rod and enclosed hardware as instructed then press JUST the rebar metal rod into the ground/pot, do not use the glass to press the bar into the garden. Push it so that one third to one half of the rod is underground, until the flower feels sturdy and does not sway. We also suggest if you are "planting" them outside to remove them if you have any high-wind/hurricane/tornado or other severe weather warnings!
