Nora Joy, the artist and author is a native virgin islander and a school social worker. She was awarded the Yale Child Study Fellowship in 1999 and served as the President of the Fairfax County School Social Worker Association in 2008. Mrs. Joy's work with cultural competency serves as a large component of a 2018 Presidential Blue Ribbon Award.
