Our city is approximately fourteen square miles, has an estimated population of 5,000 and is located in Chisago County. We are very proud of our strong Swedish heritage here with our sister city in Aulgutsboda, Sweden. We continue to maintain our small town charm while being very close to all the amenities of the Twin Cities. Chisago City is a very unique, historic community. We received our name from Indians who settled here long ago.
