Families enjoy a day in the forest at back-to-nature event in the San Bernardino Mountains promoting wildfire prevention and nature education. Visitors may enter found (coulter or sugar) pine cones in the World’s Largest Pine Cone Contest, bring (or design on site) a unique pine-cone creation for the craft competition, or participate in the Pine Cone Olympics (archery, hoop toss, shot-put). Live music, food vendors, artisans, unique gifts and wares, Smokey Bear, fire trucks and kids’ activities are on-going throughout the day. Visitors can try out Alpine’s Climbing Wall and Ropes Course for an added outdoor experience! Best of all - it's FREE!
