Reyerware Jewelry Designs, Wamego, KS
I have always dabbled in all kinds of crafts growing up. I have played in clay, ceramics, drawing, crocheting, beads, etc. One steady part of my life has been animals. I love all animals and would have a zoo if it was possble. Met and married my husband and we raised two wonderful boys. Our oldest Andy is a great hands-on person. He is great with the graphic arts and designed my logo for me. He has given us two grandchildren to brighten our lives. Our youngest,Tim, is the sports minded person. He played all sports in school and made it on scholarship and played football for the Kansas State Univeristy Wildcats.
It was after Tim's NCAA eligiblitly was up and my rear wasn't firmly planted in a football stadium that I started beading jewelry again. Of course, with me it took off and soon had so much made that I had no clue what to do with it all. Thus, the creation of ReyerWare Jewelry Designs. My oldest son always tells me that I can't do anything half way and seem to obsess about projects. He is right about that, I can never have enough beads, gems, wire etc. I would be very happy to be able to just sit and create all day. But, the bills have to be paid so have to fit a full-time job in there somewhere.
I have been fortunate to have found so many wonderful jewelry artists that I have been able to call friends over the last few years. I have been able to draw from their talents and really begin to express myself in my jewelry. My friends laugh when I refer to my jewelry making as therapy. Something about bending wire and creating beautiful wearable art really becomes uplifting.
