The world of jewelry is vast and ever expanding.  One category is vintage and qualifying items are at least 20 years old.  There are retail companies and portals promoting vintage jewelry for sale online.  However, through personal observation and study, I've noticed that some products are simply too modern in their construction, especially when considering the materials used in creating them, to be truly classified as vintage.  It requires practice and time to identify vintage pieces, and, for me, it's a lifelong pursuit.  A number of books are available that are devoted to specific vintage lines and categories as well as in general.  Some authors are so expert, having studied for years, that I consider myself a neophyte in comparison.  However, everything that I sell as vintage is truly so, whether "signed" or "unsigned", and I thoroughly research pieces before selling them.
